We're back in the realm of "writing a blog post at my girlfriend's house" so expect another edition with a lack of gifs! 

This week's blog is all about the recipe hinting system. New player and stuck on how to progress? This feature is for you! Blindly combining items in an attempt to find crafting recipes is no fun, especially when some recipes have 6+ ingredients! I will be leaving the playerbase to figure out the simple recipes, but for the more complicated ones I have added little hint pages in the form of Messages in Bottles!

When these land ashore, pick them up and give them an open! You'll get a torn page containing a recipe for a particular item. You can keep all of these in one place by adding the pages to your recipe book - this will also allow you to get more advanced pages, and also stops you getting duplicates!

In addition to messages in bottles, crates are now also floating around the oceans! These can provide some early access to later game materials/concepts but also are a helpful hand getting started if you happen to find one early on!

Anyway apologies for the very minimal blog post this week, it's been a busy ol' time and a lot of the work I've been doing this week has been back-end stuff, not very interesting for a blog post! More interesting stuff on the way soon, be sure to follow me on Twitter to see it all first!
